- zero. pre lionel’s death. dylan is between 0 and 12 years old, sees his dad as the greatest man who ever lived despite being around rarely.
- one. teenage years. stretching from losing his father to being put in a group home and becoming an orphan all the way to recreating himself to become an asset to the eye, this arc covers the remaining period of dylan’s life before becoming ‘rhodes’.
- two. the transition period between discarding his old identity and fully adopting life as dylan rhodes. dylan still believes his career in the fbi to be temporary and starts to slowly craft a payback plan while climbing up the ranks of the bureau to supply the eye with better information.
- three. pre first act. after his engagement ends, dylan throws himself completely into his master plan and realises he can use his fbi career to advance it. he starts polishing the details, talking to the eye about resources, finding the right people and manipulating his career to make sure he’ll just happen to be where he needs to be when the zero hour hits.

- five. between the films. following about half a year of bliss after the new york trick, henley leaves and dylan has to let the eye give her the means to do so. dylan's abandonment issues resurface and added to the hollow victory of avenging his father, dylan rapidly becomes more and more secretive and controlling to hide his grief.

- seven. post nysm 2. dylan is slowly growing into his new position as the leader of the western sections of the eye while practising with his horsemen for new shows.
